Desert Eagle
You preferred a weapon with 47% power over speed and 67% range over melee.
You use a Desert Eagle.

One of the most powerful handguns in production, the Desert Eagle is a heavy punch in a small package. Its reliability and speed are remarkable for a gun with such high caliber. Your enemies won't stand a chance as you fell them bullet by bullet.

Happy San Jacinto Day!

Ok, Happy belated San Jacinto Day! I was too busy to blog, having fun with painting the bedroom in our new house, and then babysitting the electricians til they stopped and I could lock up.
If you weren't paying attention in your Texas History class, the Lone Star Times has a refresher course.
I have been wearing my new Texas t-shirt. The quote on the back, from Davy Crockett (after not getting re-elected to the u.S. Congress by the fine folks of Tennessee), is a good summation of how I fell about most of the rest of the world:
"You may all go to Hell and I will go to Texas."

Oh, yeah, it's Earth Day; go do something to piss of a tree-hugging Watermelon! (Watermelon, def.: n., a fruit that is green on the outside and red on the inside.)(Green, syn., environmentalist.) (Red, syn., socialist.)

Remembering Patriots' Day

Today is the day we (most of us anyway) celebrate Patriots' Day, remembering the Battles of Lexington and Concord. It's also the day we remember the brave Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (during WW2), and the senseless (and suspicious) deaths in the Oklahoma City bombing and the Mount Carmel/Branch Davidian Compound conflagration.

You might as well take the rest of the day off, because with all the "moments of silence" you're not gonna get anything else done today! Actually, you should celebrate the first one by going to the gun range and honing your rifleman skills. Speaking of Riflemen, Kim Du Toit has this reminder for today:
"Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom." --John F. Kennedy

PS To all those following the drama of Matt's New Texas Shirt, it arrived yesterday, before I got home from work. Now I'm ready for San Jacinto Day, on Thursday. :D

Something for "I should be working"

This was a nice diversion: Flysui. I managed to get 80 of 'em before I ran out of time. Kinda boring after the first 20!

PS I'm waiting for a t-shirt I ordered to show up. It looks a little like this: Davy Crockett shirt. If you see it wandering around your neighborhood without me, please send it home!

Update PPS I've gotten an email letting me know that my shirt is on the way... They're shipping it from Colorado?!? {sigh} Whatever, it'll be here by Monday, plenty of time before San Jacinto Day (the 21st).

Kyrie eleyson, Christe eleyson, Kyrie eleyson

The Holy Father on Earth, Pope John Paul II, passed away on Saturday.

(In case you've been hiding under a rock for the last several days and my blog is the first place online you've come....{snort!})

Aside: it appeared that the Media was in a frenzy last week, over who would die first, Terri Schiavo or the Pope.... the little shits got their answer now.
