Happy San Jacinto Day!
Ok, Happy belated San Jacinto Day! I was too busy to blog, having fun with painting the bedroom in our new house, and then babysitting the electricians til they stopped and I could lock up.
If you weren't paying attention in your Texas History class, the Lone Star Times has a refresher course.
I have been wearing my new Texas t-shirt. The quote on the back, from Davy Crockett (after not getting re-elected to the u.S. Congress by the fine folks of Tennessee), is a good summation of how I fell about most of the rest of the world:
"You may all go to Hell and I will go to Texas."
Oh, yeah, it's Earth Day; go do something to piss of a tree-hugging Watermelon! (Watermelon, def.: n., a fruit that is green on the outside and red on the inside.)(Green, syn., environmentalist.) (Red, syn., socialist.)
